POTTERS WHEEL MINISTRIES
Annual Events
"Helping Hands...Molding Broken People" Annual Potters Wheel Ministries July 4th Barbeque Below are picture images of the third annual July 4th barbeque, "The Feast of Fire". This is a great time of fellowship with music provided by the worship and praise team of Potters Wheel Ministries and other area groups. As always, prayer and a message from God's Word was shared. The food was excellent with the meat cooked on huge smokers operated by our expert smoker cooks. God has provided for The Potters Wheel Ministries in so many ways and this is one more example of how we are able to share God's Word with inner city residents and also meet their needs in other areas of their lives.
Hospital visitation pastor Mike Koch
of Potters Wheel Ministries spends the night smoking meats before large events such as the fourth of July barbeque. He also smokes turkeys and
hams all night before the July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas meals at the Potters
Wheel Ministries. Thanks to generous donations nearly 1,000 barbecue meals were
served at the Feast of Fire Event on July 4th, 2006.

Annual Backpack and School Supplies Giveaway
Before the start of the school year Potters Wheel Ministries fills back packs
with school supplies required for each grade level. These back packs with school
supplies are given to inner city kids in Evansville, Indiana. These are kids
from low income families in Evansville and this ensures the kids will get off to
a good start when school begins. The smiles on their faces tells it all. This
allows inner city residents the opportunity to become familiar with the staff at
Potters Wheel Ministries and to learn about the programs and classes
Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway
On the Sunday afternoon before the Thanksgiving holiday, Potters Wheel Ministries
gives away hundreds of free frozen turkeys to inner city residents immediately following the worship service. In 2004, over 50 individuals accepted Jesus as their Saviour during this worship service.
This service begins at 2:30 but we advise arriving early. Each year the crowd fills the sanctuary to capacity and a great time is had by all. The Thanksgiving service includes special singers brought in for this particular worship service. In 2005 the sermon was delivered by a visiting preacher from Colorado and dozens of individuals received salvation by accepting Jesus Christ as their Saviour. "Helping Hands...Molding Broken People
