"Helping Hands...Molding Broken People" From The Pastor's Pen ... Dec. 2007 A Life Changing Year As I look back on how fast this year has gone, I find myself reflecting on the various aspects of The Potters Wheel Ministries. Most of all I am blessed to see the changes in people who at one time had no future. But now, thanks to our partners in ministry, we are seeing many lives changed and families put back together. You see, all that happens here at The Potters Wheel would not be possible if it were not for our partners. Every day I thank God for you and ask Him that you be abundantly blessed for your sacrifices. The apostle Paul talks about cheerful givers and I would like to encourage you with his words: "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound to every good work." It is written, "He has scattered abroad His gifts to the poor, His righteousness endures forever." Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 2 Cor. 9:8-13, NIV In October we put up a large tent and for three days preached the gospel on the grounds of one of the most violent apartment complexes in the city. Twenty two people gave their hearts to The Lord. The Potters Wheel is now running a bus to this complex every Sunday and more and more people are coming to The Potters wheel church services to hear The Word that will and has changed their lives. Thank you again precious partner, for through your generosity of giving we are able to spread The good news. As king David said in Psalms 147:1,"Praise The Lord!"
Be blessed and enjoy your
families over the holidays and remember that in all things give thanks. Reverend Mike Ballard
